What happens if you miss a lesson?
Find out what happens if you miss your Swap Language speaking lesson, including attendance policy and access to recordings.
If you miss a speaking lesson without rescheduling, the session will still take place at the original time.
Here’s what that means for you.
If you miss a group lesson
Speaking lessons are small group sessions.
If you do not attend and the lesson was not rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance:
-
The lesson cannot be reused
-
The session will still take place
-
The teacher and other participants will continue as planned
The time slot cannot be moved after the 24-hour deadline.
You can still watch the recording
All speaking lessons are recorded.
If you miss your session, you can watch the recording for up to 60 days.
You’ll find it inside your speaking group section on the platform.
This allows you to catch up on the content, even if you couldn’t attend live.
If you are in a 1:1 lesson
If you miss a 1:1 lesson without rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance, the session is still considered used.
If you contact your teacher in time, it is usually possible to find a new time.
Why attendance matters
Speaking lessons are designed as a continuous learning process.
Regular participation:
-
Supports your progress
-
Keeps your group stable
-
Shows engagement
For many learners, their company is investing in their course.
Consistent attendance helps demonstrate commitment and progress in company reviews.
If something unexpected happened
We understand that emergencies can occur.
If something serious prevented you from attending, Let your teacher know and explain the situation.
We’ll always do our best to help.
